Datoff Construction is a long-standing General Contractor in Northern B.C. We bring pride in our projects and enjoy a lively work environment. We work in Commercial, Civil, and Industrial Construction and seeking experienced Excavator Operators for our Civil Division.
Work running excavation equipment is located at various locations throughout Prince George, there is also potential for our of town work depending on project locations.
Duties
- Operate excavators safely and efficiently on a variety of civil construction projects, including excavation, grading, trenching, site servicing, and utility work.
- Perform precision excavation and grading to required elevations, grades, and specifications.
- Complete trenching and excavation for water, sewer, storm, drainage, and other underground services.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and identify maintenance or mechanical issues before they become problems.
- Work closely with site supervisors, labourers, surveyors, truck drivers, and other equipment operators to maintain safe and efficient site operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all company and site-specific health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of construction site safety, including safe work procedures around personnel, equipment, and utilities.
- Ability to read and work from grades, plans, stakes, and site drawings is considered an asset.
- Reliable, punctual, safety-minded, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a crew.
Additional Info
Datoff bids projects around Northern BC. Work location follows projects, can be out of town or in remote locations.
Education
- 3+ years of experience operating excavators in civil construction or a related industry.
- Proven ability to operate excavators with precision and confidence, including working
- Experience with trenching, excavation, backfilling, grading, and site preparation.
