Versatile and up-to-date construction equipment, for better performance on your projects.
At Datoff Construction, we operate with of the most well-rounded, up-to-date fleets of construction equipment in Northern BC.
Our unique, wide-spread selection of equipment allows us to work in cases where smaller construction companies won’t have the capacity or machine power to perform, and larger construction companies won’t bother to keep equipment suited for the tight spaces or light-workload tasks that they usually pass on to others. We have a flexibility that makes us helpful to you in almost every construction scenario.
We choose sturdy, long-lasting equipment that we know will perform every time, and we keep it well-serviced and tested, so your project won’t be bogged down by equipment malfunctions or breakdowns.
When we do buy new construction equipment, we buy brand-new with the latest technology and the most sustainable and efficient systems available on the market. This not only keeps us up to date, it lets us stay on top of developments in the industry, so when new technology that would benefit you comes around, we can take advantage.
Trimble 3D Machine Control
We’re one of very few companies in town that has invested in equipment like the Trimble 3D Machine Control System and trained operators on its use.

The Trimble 3D Machine Control is a GPS-based grade control system that guides our 2019 Cat D6K2-LGP dozer during excavation. It works by connecting to GPS satellites and uses on-machine sensors to precisely position the blade or bucket of the excavating equipment to a digital site plan—and it’s accurate down to millimetres.
Having the Trimble in our toolkit means that we can complete complex site grading tasks with minimal—and in some cases, even no—site surveying.
This speeds up turnaround time on projects considerably. Especially, when you consider we’re eliminating manual staking and the need for less accurate, traditional benchmarks or sightlines. And because the machine knows exactly where it is on the site and which elevations it needs to reach, the operator spends less time adjusting and estimating. The Trimble even provides a downloadable AutoCAD file that can stored and sent to engineers, which is exceptional documentation for finding pipework and building layouts.
Faster, more accurate, and complete with built in documentation—the Trimble is revolutionary equipment for large-scale pads, subgrade preparation, and complex civil works, and it’s also highly specialized.
Material Handling & Load Management
Our wheel loader fleet includes high-capacity machines like the Cat 966M and 950M, suited for heavy material handling, backfilling, and aggregate management. These loaders are vital for maintaining production rates on larger civil and industrial sites, while the smaller 930M and Case 621E provide the agility we need when working in tight spaces. Combined with our gravel trucks—including tandem and pup configurations for 10- to 20-yard loads—we can move and manage material efficiently, even on projects with demanding haul requirements.
Excavators for Every Project
With ten excavators ranging from the Cat 330-07 down to the compact Cat 303-07, we can handle everything from bulk earthmoving to detailed utility trenching. The presence of mid-size machines like the Cat 335F-L and Link-Belt 245 add versatility, enabling us to shift between mass excavation and fine grading without missing a beat.
Tight-Space & Support Work
At Datoff Bros. Construction, we have a selection of skid steers, including the Cat 262D and multiple Bobcat S-series machines, supporting fine grading, backfilling, cleanup, and snow management. Their compact profiles and versatile attachment options make them indispensable on busy or space-constrained sites.
Mobility & Field Support
We maintain our own transportation and service logistics, reducing downtime and delays. Our fleet includes service trucks, fuel trucks, and equipment and flat deck trailers, allowing us to mobilize, refuel, and relocate machines quickly. We also operate crew trucks, ensuring reliable site access for our teams across the region.

Our Fleet Works for You.
Unlike contractors who rely on rented equipment or third-party trucking, our fleet reduces wait times, resolves uncertainty, and gives us complete control over jobsite sequencing, which means you’re getting the most efficient order of operations for your project. Some crews have to wait for the trucks to come in—we’re already on-site, hard at work.
It’s just one more advantage to working with Datoff.
