Project Summary

Datoff facilitated the move and revitalizion a log home for Saik’uz First Nation.

Project Description

Datoff Bros. Construction partnered with Saik’uz First Nation and Colliers Project Leaders on the relocation and revitalization of the Saik’uz Cultural Centre. The 2,733 sq. ft. log home, originally located at Bednesti Lake, was carefully taken apart and transported four hours to Pioneer Log Homes for restoration. Following the revitalization, the logs made their way back home to Saik’uz, where Datoff coordinated the trades and worked alongside community members to rebuild the cultural centre at the Saik’uz Campground. Despite the challenges of coordinating work through two wildfire seasons, the project was brought to completion, ensuring the centre’s legacy as a gathering place for cultural connection and community pride.
